Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of civic education in education karakterk nation. Writing using the method of literature review (library research) is a method of writing that is based on the opinions of experts and the results of previous research. From the discussion, it can be concluded that multicultural education through civic education to find relevance to the context of Indonesia. As a concept, multicultural education in line with the spirit of the Indonesia's motto Unity in Diversity. Motto very fair and democratic to have the understanding that Indonesia is one of the nations in the world are made up of numerous ethnic groups and races, which have a culture, language and religion are different but in the unity of Indonesia
