The reasons for divorce are progressing in accordance with the progress of social change, it is seen from the divorce rate in Indonesiat increasing from year to year this phenomenon becomes a crucial issue for the Muslims because the purpose of marriage in Islamic law is to form a family sakinah, mawaddah and rahmah. the term that is associated with divorce is often less precise understanding of the meaning of divorce like the term talak.oleh therefore, the term of divorce needs to be understood with the real meaning. Use of Lughawiyah and Ta'liliyah Reasoning. From verses of Al-Quran and hadith that became the backdrop of divorce can be understood that: divorce is the last to be taken where a marriage can not be maintained, that the content of verses and hadiths about marriage there is a right of rights and duties between husband and wife, and the marriage according to the Qur'anic concept
